A while back, John Plummer wrote, in part:

How one interprets "contact" in that
context might be somewhat relevant,
seems to me. Anyway, that comment makes
me think of people who seem to think
that it's curious why people in flying
saucers haven't landed on the white
house lawn, signed up with the current
political party, gone over to McDonald's
for lunch, made some business deals,
signed up for a movie deal about their
life, etc, etc.
