Jeremy,
well, my 2 cents on the topic. I wonder why I, for some strange reason 
find a focus on the portion of that post that reads: "for the duration of her 
visit to America." To me, that explicitly places a delimiter on her appointment 
as "agent" that expires upon her return to England, it was not an open ended 
appointment as I read the post. I am curious why this element was not 
recognized and commented upon by our more erudite historians. What is your POV?
