Remember, the Koran was written by a child molester.
He had child brides. Be carefukl what you say about Mo since your
address is on www.switchboard.com and your area is full of AQ
operatives.
If it matters, ancient Jews married at puberty, so Moses was probably
guilty according to modern standards of reckoning.
Could very well be.
While there are certain basic principles of right and wrong, most
actions contain elements of both, and the intentions may very well be
based on the times and the cultures. For example, we currently consider
having sex with children to be wrong. It was not always true in previous
times. That does not mean that it was right in previous times, but it
does mean that we need to separate evil from ignorance. We can be
reasonably certain that Mohammed was simply following the common
practice of is time, which, although we now realize it was harmful to
his brides, we can also be reasonably sure that he had no intent to harm
them. In all analysis of history and historic personages, it is
important to realize not only their actions on an absolute level, but
also whether the moral principles on which these actions were based.
