Friend Daniel
I owe another comment/answer but i´ll do it later.
I also owe some excuses but I´ll do it later.
Excuse me if I ever tried to denigrate anyone on that previous message.

Yes.There is too much recrimination on CWL´s books and some of them are agood intro into Theos.
But of one wants a good intro book on Secret Doctrine, the Ocean of Theos. by WQ Judge is the gold medal.
The feeling when reading this book is like when reading a HPB´s original abridgement.
It is totally compromissed with its essence, far better, IMO, than many others avaiable.
SD is heavy for general beginners but not for beginners who are aware of what they want.

Anand,

You write:

============================================

So properly guiding new members in studies is
very important. If a new member comes to lodge
and somebody hands over Secrete Doctrine, then
that person won't understand much and so he may
not come to TS again. But if he is given easiest
books like Outline of Theosophy by Leadbeater. . . .

Some of Blavatsky-centered people actively repel
others from reading easier books of AB, CWL, Hodson,
CJ, Taimni. . . .

===================================================

Anand,

There are many "easier books" to read than the ones
you are referring to.

Have you read any of the following titles? SEE
LIST BELOW.

Grace Knoche's book is new and also very
readable. C.J. Ryan's book is also very simple
and easy to read.

Anyone who would read the books below
would have a pretty good grasp of Theosophy.

==========================================

To Light a Thousand Lamps: A Theosophic Vision
by Grace F. Knoche

An Introduction to Esoteric Principles
by William Doss McDavid

What Is Theosophy?
by Charles J. Ryan

Ocean of Theosophy
by William Q. Judge

Deity, Cosmos and Man
Geoffrey A. Farthing

The Key to Theosophy: An Abridgment
Quest Book edition
H.P. Blavatsky
