Not a Pessimist

Aug 11, 2004 01:47 PM
by Andrew Smith

In spite of all the strange news I am passing on, I am not a pessimist nor am I a fatalist. Ignorance is death; knowledge is life. Most of us go through our lives in a fairly normal way, but I do believe that an "illumined" mind is a healthier and a life-giving mind. That's why I am a Gnostic and a Theosophist. Divinity is in all of us, but we have to release it in good deeds, good thoughts, and love. Even the old Biblical Prophets did not ask us for more.
