Dallas,

Here are a few links pointing in a general way to why I asked about the
"Four Stages of Nirvana." In part I think that incidents of the Buddha
foretelling of the future Buddhahood of his certain Disciples is at least
plausibly
based on his knowledge of the disciple condition of context vis:

These four wisdom's lead the practitioners to four Nirvana:

1	Nirvana with residue: realizes the nature of Nirvana but not yet
eliminate
the five aggregates (form, feeling, discernment, compositional factors and
consciousness).

2	Nirvana without residue: the aggregates have been eliminated.

3	Svabhava Nirvana: realizes the Primeval Nirvana is always existing.

4	Nonabiding Nirvana: abides in neither Samsara nor ulitmate
quiescence. The Nirvana of the highest Bodhisattvas.
The forth Nirvana transform the normal body of practitioner into three
ultimate Buddha bodies. They are:

Dharma-kaya: the true body.
Sambhoga- kaya: the enjoyment body.
Nirmana- kaya: emanation body.

Some where in my Favorites I have online links that iterate the Four
corresponding Stages of the Arhat and Bodhisattva as correlates, when I find
them I
will post to you Dallas.

Also a website I think has content generally corelate is:

The Diamond Perfection of Wisdom Sutra
http://www.tangmi.com/works/e_works/t6.html
( this site text is very hard to read due to the text color, i recommend you

use the mouse to highlight the entire ext to make it readable)
