Descriptions of Sunday Morning Workshops:
WORKSHOP I - PUBLICATIONS
Today, there are at least 20 Theosophical publication sites, and at least
six publishing houses all putting forward Theosophical themes.
Representatives from each have been invited to participate in this workshop.
They will describe the materials they are currently printing (and why?) and
their ideas for future editions (and why?). These publications represent the
power of our movement.
WORKSHOP II - ALTERNATIVES IN PRESENTING THEOSOPHICAL TEACHINGS
Some groups have started book/art/music stores to draw persons to
Theosophical literature and talks. Others are making presentations of the
arts. Discussion of these approaches and actual theatrical performances will
be given in the workshop.
WORKSHOP III - HISPANIC CONTRIBUTIONS TO THEOSOPHICAL THEMES (Spanish Only)
Latinos in California are now 40% of the state's population. This reality is
becoming a part of other states in the nation as well. The conference is
intended to attract groups from Tijuana and other parts of Mexico. The Los
Angeles group has made some incredible contributions to Theosophy and the
arts which will be presented at the conference. Theosophical literature in
Spanish will be reviewed and discussions on how best to reach out to all
Spanish-speaking persons will be a focus.
