The recent discussion about "phenomena" brought to mind speculation to the effect that people, in general, might generally have some sort of somewhat over-riding tendency to make things "fit" one way or another, per whatever interpretive tendency, so as to make their worldview cozier and "more believable" in whatever interpretive or "karmic" sense.
