Hi Dallas.
Concerning to your post, the term Dimension that you used (and many abuse) has got a recent usage and meaning, refering to other planes /realities of existence.
In what sense may the terms Dimensions and Globes be synonyms as quoted forinstance in Sinnetīs E.Buddhism and and reminded in SD by HPB on " . . . the spiritual monads . . . do not fully complete their mineral existenceon Globe A, then complete it on Globe B, and so on. They pass several times round the whole circle as minerals, and then again several times round as vegetables, and several times as animals ..."
Are the different Globes , different dimensions?
Also CWL and others from his "school" uses the same terminology.

Krishtar

Original message:
If SPIRIT is universal as ATMA, and Matter is also universal as
MAHA-BUDDHI, then in every being of any dimension in the Universe,
they are ever and always present.
They manifest their presence in terms of levels of intelligence.
Consciousness (as awareness of limits and individual egoity, is
universal. In terms of SOURCE, there is the ONE AND SOLE mysterious
UNITY. This is held to serve as a seamless and an eternal background
It is the Universal Monad, which, upon manifestation, under the
impulse of Universal Karma divides itself into innumerable MONADS (as
'forms') and, each the "mirror" of that ONE and of each-other. In
other words the ONE INDESCRIBABLE UNITY always resides in every one of
its 'parts.' Any "sense of separateness" is an illusion, a maya.
As individual intelligence grows with experience in the many MONADS (
ATMA-BUDDHIS) the UNIVERSAL MIND (MAHAT, or, that which provides the
Plan and Basis for all re-manifestation under KARMA ) manifests in
mankind as Minds of more or less independence and capacity to think
and to remember.
Since the Universe is embodied consciousness, and a harmony of
discords is the process of progressive cooperation used, the active
adjusting of minds is needed as a learning experience. It is said that
each Mind yearns to become One with the Universal and to Know
everything. This is a sublime desire. But, it cannot be realized by
selfishness. It has to be shared through generosity, compassion and
cooperation.
As said in the SECRET DOCTRINE there are three inextricably
interlinked lines of evolution ( S D I 181-2). These reflect the
Path of the perfection of forms, the controlling of impulse and
emotion (selfish desires and passions) by the Mind as the ruling
faculty, and the impersonal oversight and active advice which can be
received at will from the indwelling SPIRIT.
This is the present arena of mankind's life and work.
But, perhaps I am wrong, if so help me.
Best wishes,
Dallas

Subject: Re: human mind
Let us for the moment, stay with absolutes and wholes. Clearly, we can
understand, intellectually at least, that any totality, includes
within itself, the notion of identity and SELF. It is the old
conundrum of the whole, being greater than the sum of its parts. It
retains an identity untouchable by any action, of any of its parts. If
indeed, a part does reach, or touch the identity of a whole IT CEASES
TO BE A PART. It's as if there is a cosmic binary law at work, On or
Off. Whole or Part. It cannot be both for any practical purpose.Wholes
may be the background, against which, parts find their relevence. My
question is, do the parts have any intrinsic relevence of their own?
In the example below there is the lotus, or I should say "Lotus-ness"
that which is beyond the sum of it's parts. The lotus may be broken
down into its parts, Lotus-ness cannot. That said, how can we, the
petals, truly examine the nature of lotus, when clearly, we do not yet
understand the nature of our petal-ness? Seems to me, that
transitioning identities are simply a function of evolutionary
momentum. That which we were, is transformed, in that which we are
becoming. Does the butterfly remember the caterpillar? But the engine
that drives these transitions is the satisfactory completion of karmic
agendas.
Feedback please.
Best to all,
Louis
