Vocabulary pet peeve: celibacy is refraining from getting married, NOT
refraining from sex (chastity is refraining from sex). I discovered this
when learning about a priest who entered a marriage of convenience to
get out of a political prison; he was defrocked for violating his vow of
celibacy, even though he never even physically met his wife.
You have not read it. The text says Jesus bussed Mary on the mouth
frequently. People did not do that except to lovers.
