Please read the passage. It is clear that this was simply a theoretical
question, apparently designed to expose Jesus' lack of knowledge of the
Talmud, therefore being a fake rabbi (this is one of the pieces of
evidence that Jesus might have been a composite of several leaders, some
more educated than others). Jesus' answer is quite brilliant, as it both
dodges the question and conveys new knowledge.
