People keep writing me privately about hoe "embarrassed" they are 
that you keep trumpeting your ignorance. One of these e-mails said:

"First he tells us he does not know anything about mathematics, then 
he lectures us on "superstring" theory. Then he tells us he does not 
know anything about geography, and lectures us on how Wasington is a 
far northern US city. Now he is saying he does not know anything 
about meditation and he is lecturing us on that. Isn't this 
embarrassing?"

I have not responded yet. I do not know how to respond.

Yes, stopping the modifications of the mind is the basis of EVERY 
system of meditation.
