Hi Dennis
It is also a doubt of mine.
Maybe because this country puts more investiments in radioastronomy?
I know that is a collection of " antennas" spread in many points of the country to enlarge the ray/diameter of it

The Greatest telescope of the world?
As I understand it, Holland is quite near sea level, at the bottom of
the atmospheric ocean. Would it, therefore, be at some advantage over
the observatories built on the top of mountains, like those in Hawaii?
And as for radio-telescopes, I would think that the open desert of
California or Australia would provide more open space for that, except
that I suppose that a Radio-telescope could be spread over an entire
planet.
Is there any thought of linking the radio observations over more than
one tiny country?
Dennis
