Hallo samblo and all,
My views:
Thanks.
Exactly the dilemma.
But let us have the scriptures from India broadcasted more clearly, so that
even the Un Security Counsil starts
the grow past their middelage level on dealing with security issues in a
non-religious manner !
Try the following with esoteric - meditation :
****************************************************
Vimanas role and relation to the present religious-political situation -
The USA-coalition versus the Iraq counsil --- and the UN's related role
****************************************************
These below questions are asked in the year 2004.
1.
How can an non-religous government TODAY talk about
JUSTICE, without being under supiscion for being corrupt or even egoistical
?
And why can a religious government today talk about
the same in a more convincing manner ?
2.
Can a non-religious government at all today talk about
JUSTICE and then be trustworthy ?
What basis are a irreligious government today talking about
JUSTICE from ?
Is it a basis of mixed non-religious ideology and religious ideology ?
And how can such a basis be said to be of any importance, relevance
or even be said to be trustworthy in any sense ?
Or is it an unclear basis - and thereby an immoral basis ?
3.
Can an non-religious government today be said to
be wise while it doesn't take various religious wisdom and teachings into
account ?
4.
Can an non-religious government today be said to be knowledgefull about
how to respond on Terror or Terrorism when it does not base its conclusions
on
a religious background - and instead bases it on a background which could be
said to be dubious because it is non-religous ?
Can an non-religious government today be said to be knowledgefull about
how to respond on Terror or Terrorism when it havn't consulted this planets
various leaders and wise
persons of both an official religious nature or unofficial non-religious
nature ?
5.
How can international law made by the United Nations today be said to
be wise or even honest, when it is only based on a mixed effort
of irreligious and religious parties ?
6.
How can anyone say, that a non-religious ideology today can save this planet
from
its problems ?
7. How can non-religious governments defend that they should have anything
to say,
when the United Nations makes international recommendations on terrorism ?
Can any Non-religious governments be considered to be trustworthy in any
manner ?
Can a religious government be considered more trustworthy ?
8.
Are non-religious governments in fact not just too dangerous for this planet
?
Is any kind of thought out safety-system by such an government not of a
dubious nature ?
Is non-voilence not the only valid choice for people on our planet today ?
If not - why not ?
9.
Justice is a creative power, reviving right and destroying injustice.
Else it is not justice. Please rethink your views.
So much talk about justice by leading politicians these days...
********
10-A.
Are your answers the same when we define the words "religious government"
to be
a) a physically speaking non-voilent and non-aggressive body ?
b) a government which do not enforce or promote economical starvation upon
people in their own country or other countries
c) a government which do not enforce or promote changed cultural-religious
lifestyle-patterns upon people in their own country or
other countries by excessive marketing of the massmedias, of physical goods
and/or electronical goods
10-B.
And also when we define the words "terror" or "terrorism" to be the same as
a) "physical violence" and also
b) "the forcing or promotion by a non-religious government or governments
of economical starvation of a religious people or religious countries" and
also
c) "the forcing or promotion of changed cultural-religious
lifestyle-patterns by a non-religious
government or governments excessive by marketing of physical goods and
electronical goods (ie. movies etc.)" ?
Better definitions are to be considered.
*******
Do not forget, that - genetic engineering, cloning, biological weapons,
chemical weapons, a-bombs, terrorism, non-religious calling themselves
religious,
new weapons not known yet - Vimanas of the past included - or part of the
situation, which have to be dealt with.
This is indeed a different time than 1875-1891 with Blavatsky, cowboys and
saloons --- and Herman Oberth being laughed out of the Auditorium at the
Sorbonne University on France in 1880 because he said the humans before long
would be able to fly by building a machine !
Let us not live in the past - but face the present realities, which
Theosophy 2004 has to relate to if it is real Theosophy and not dead-letter
Theosophy.
Such a theosophy says, that it will fight political corruption - and
especially if is as bad as the present one.
(Letter 1 -1888, Second Annual Convention - April 22-23; - A letter to W.Q.
Judge to read to the Convention summoned for April 22d.)

I would like some pretty good answers to these questions by those who
think that they can continue to support this madness which certain
non-religious countries are making.
Or act by saying do not mind - do not matter. Or say I can not do anything.
Small efforts are indeed appreciated.
I do think that persons like Mahatma Ghandi and Martin Luther King Jr. and
newer personalities should be considered when discussing these issues.
And of course also the wisdom teachings.
