Hallo all of you,

My views are:

Exactly my point.
Emotionalism and intellectual stimulations won't lead you far.
That was problably why the father - in your version - was an idiot and hit
his head and not his heart of compassion.

Another Nasrudin story:
"The Mulla Nasrudin taught his children that whenever he sneezed, they
should clap and say "Blessings of God!" And so the children did this every
time. Once, the Mulla got his children to lower him down into the well to
get some water. They let him down, he filled the bucket and yelled to the
children to pull him up. As they were pulling him up, just as his head came
out of the well, he sneezed. The children immediately clapped--didn't he
teach them to do so--and cried out "Blessings of God!" Of course they
dropped the rope. He fell all the way to the bottom and said, "From now on,
if I sneeze or if I cough, DON'T clap!"

I think they in German say "Gesundheit!"

And when you don't clap - what do you then do ?
