RE: Death frightens

Dear Friends:

Knowledge reinforced by logic ought to be able to dispel fear.

Let us start on the premise that intelligence cannot be destroyed.

Each human is such an intelligent unit and is an immortal.

Let use an analogy: --

During the day when we are awake our consciousness, which is continuous,
covers a multitude of subjects and duties, and their performance is
carried in our memory. There is no regret in passing from one to
another.

>From day today we pass through the unconsciousness we call sleep. We
neither fear nor regret it.

When our EGOIC CONSCIOUSNESS, the ONE PERMANENT SELF, faces the death of
a personality, it does not fear that but rather rejoices that it will
have future work and opportunities in which to live and enjoy and work.
Furthermore it is assured that the memory built into it by right living
remains and ever continues with it.

Look at this quote from the SECRET DOCTRINE

"The fundamental Law in that [THEOSOPHICAL] system, the central point
from which all emerged, around and toward which all gravitates, and upon
which is hung the philosophy of the rest, is the One homogeneous divine
SUBSTANCE-PRINCIPLE, the one radical cause. ...

"Some few, whose lamps shone brighter, have been led..
>From cause to cause to nature's secret head, ..
And found that one first Principle must be...."

It is called "Substance-Principle," for it becomes "substance" on the
plane of the manifested Universe, an illusion, while it remains a
"principle" in the beginningless and endless abstract, visible and
invisible Space.

It is the omnipresent reality: impersonal, because it contains all and
everything. "Its impersonality is the fundamental conception" of the
System. It is latent in every atom in the Universe, and is the Universe
itself."
Secret Doctrine, Vol I page 273.

We could call this One SUBSTANCE PRINCIPLE our "manvantaric body" - the
ONE that survives and links all lives together.

THAT is us, we are IT.

We are one with the UNIVERSE. IT is one with, and supports our life for
evermore.

What is there to fear in that?

Best wishes,

Dallas
