Hi Paul,
Well, Chuck's comments notwithstanding ("locked, bolted, having
fun...") and I do agree with the fun part, joy being the watchword, I
hesitate to make such a judgement..

Perhaps from the microcosmic view I could agree with your assessment.
Constant change is here to stay. But from the larger point of view,
maybe that of the student of occultism, it is difficult if not
impossible to say that what appears to be the case really describes
its limits. Certainly the 60's and 70's seemed characterized by a
tremendous foment of spiritual questing, such as has not been seen in
the West before. Extreme conditions always create their own backlash,
and conditions now may partake of such a phenomena. But how do we
know what is really going on? The real stuff happens interiorly. I
look at the internet now, at what the young people I know, for
instance, are doing, learning, thinking, talking about. I see a vast
opening of their minds and hearts, augmented by this new freedom of
communication which is really trans-global. It is as if the sacred
fire of electricity has applied itself to illumination of its
children, humanity. Certainly there are lots of misuses and
manipulations of the media, but it might be bigger than that. Perhaps
it would be fair to say that besides (or even because the of) the
inevitable backlash is a new dispensation, a raising of the vibration
of the whole, which could continue to resonate like a tidal wave,
rearranging forever the old order, which, after all, is on the way
out.
Too fanciful? What do you think?
What do you think about the possibility that an opportunity cycle
has
> recently closed?
That could definitely be true, considering that opportunity cannot
last forever. We did just have the end of the century and the end of
the millennium. Definite cycles, both. We either take advantage of
opportunities when the come or we don't. But after the actual
opportunity cycle closes, there is the working out of all the complex
design of acceptance, implementation, manifestation.
Best wishes,
Adelasie
