Should I give up meat?

That is somewhat of an unspoken concern about many people who eat
meat but want to meditate. I will tell you honestly, I have taken it
on the chin and gone out on a limb in order to test many of these
spiritual things which are sometimes a trial in order to report back
to myself, my soul and others whether or not there is some spiritual
truth to these things.

I tell you truly that there is a karma attached to eating meat. It
is real. The more time you have spent in vegetarianism and
meditation the more clearly this will become for you.

The RS masters liken it to wearing a thin shirt to wearing a heavy
coat and running in the summer. That is a good analogy. Which one is
easier? It is not that it is impossible to do so, but it is easier.

It is like sand continually going back into the hole each time you
dig when you eat meat, drink alcohol and try to meditate.

Then there are those who doubt that this is a real path, or the
camino real as they call it also. I would have to say that the proof
is in the results. I can look at journals I have written and turn to
any year in time and find answers that I am looking for. Especially
when I face a fork in the road.

You can have this kind of peace of mind as well, if you seek it.

There are studies which show that the alpha brain wave pattern is
increased or easier to establish when you meditate daily. Then there
are people who say that a mental imbalance might show up when one
begins to meditate.

I don't believe that. I think if you really examine the life of the
person who makes this claim it can be established that there was
some sort of mental imbalance before the meditation began.
Meditation is like medicine, take it only under the direction of a
spiritual doctor.
