Hallo Netemara and all of you,
¨
My views are:

Why not add, that Alice A. Bailey's Lucis Trust and many of its various
branches are just as dead. Those groups and their relations to the Middle
Eastern audiences are in a bad shape when we talk year 2003.

Just one example is this:

"Mohammedanism, which numbers so large a following, is also under sixth ray
influence, but it is not a great root religion, being a hybrid offshoot of
Christianity with the tinge of Judaism."
Esoteric Psychology vol.1, page 167-8 should tell its tale.

Promoting the above view is not theosophical.

Mahomet appeared nearly six hundred years after the presumed deicide. TheGraeco-Roman world was still convulsed with religious dissensions, withstanding all the past imperial edicts and forcible Christianization. While theCouncil of Trent was disputing about the Vulgate, the unity of God quietlysuperseded the trinity, and soon the Mahometans outnumbered the Christians. Why? Because their prophet never sought to identify himself with Allah. Otherwise, it is safe to say, he would not have lived to see his religion flourish. Till the present day Mahometanism has made and is now making more proselytes than Christianity.Mahomet was born in 571 A. D. ISIS II. 239. HPB.

There has never been a religion in the annals of the world with such a bloody record as Christianity. All the rest, including the traditional fiercefights of the "chosen people" with their next of kin, the idolatrous tribes of Israel, pale before the murderous fanaticism of the alleged followers of Christ! Even the rapid spread of Mahometanism before the conquering sword of the Islam prophet, is a direct consequence of the bloody riots and fights among Christians. It was the intestine war between the Nestorians and Cyrilians that engendered Islamism; and it is in the convent of Bozrah thatthe prolific seed was first sown by Bahira, the Nestorian monk. Freely watered by rivers of blood, the tree of Mecca has grown till we find it in thepresent century overshadowing nearly two hundred millions of people. ISISUNVEILED II 54. HPB.

Mohammedanism, which numbers so large a following, is also under sixth ray influence, but it is not a great root religion, being a hybrid offshoot of Christianity with the tinge of Judaism. DK. EPI

Be this as it may, the religion of the ancients is the religion of the future. A few centuries more, and there will linger no sectarian beliefs in either of the great religions of humanity. Brahmanism and Buddhism, Christianity and Mahometanism will all disappear before the mighty rush of facts. IU1 613.

Three centuries after the departure of the Blessed One, His disciples were already infected with religious strife. After only a century, Christianity manifested extreme intolerance. The last utterances of Mohammed were immediately followed by fanaticism. Religious controversies always destroy the sense of the true Teaching; therefore We now call for special tolerance andWe reject controversies.
One may ask how to guard the Teaching, yet not respond to false accusations. The best defense is to strengthen one's labor in a non-hostile way.One can disarm hostile accusers by strengthening one's reserves. You know that We do not avoid enemies, but one should not waste one's strength on them. AY 469. HR.

"...and today the followers of Christ and those of Mohammed are cutting each other's throats in the names of and for the greater glory of their respective myths [faiths]." Well, do you not agree that the degenerating religions are a great evil? LHRII 7.

Thus, speaking with a Moslem, you will not begin by praising Lord Buddha or demeaning Mohammed, but you will interchange with him all that is beautiful in his religion, and when opportunity arises, you will explain more deeply and broadly the meaning of some sayings of Mohammed that have entered the treasury of world wisdom. Thus you will also do in any other situations in life. LHRII 326.

We beg the reader to remember that we do not mean by Christianity the teachings of Christ, but those of his alleged servants - the clergy. HPB. ISIS

For the teachings of Christ were occult teachings, which could only be explained at the initiation. They were never intended for the masses, for Jesus forbade the twelve to go to the Gentiles and the Samaritans (Matt. x. 8), and repeated to his disciples that the "mysteries of Heaven" were for them alone, not for the multitudes (Mark iv. 11). SD II. 231. HPB.

But it is perhaps desirable to state unequivocally that the teachings, however fragmentary and incomplete, contained in these volumes, belong neither to the Hindu, the Zoroastrian, the Chaldean, nor the Egyptian religion, neither to Buddhism, Islam, Judaism nor Christianity exclusively. The SecretDoctrine is the essence of all these. SDI viii.

Christianity teaches the value of the Individual and exalts Self-sacrifice. Islam peals out the Unity of God. Surely the world is the richer for each, and we cannot spare one jewel from our chaplet of the world's religions.AB Theosophy.
