Dear Mauri:

Consider that what we denote "man" is a 7-fold being. You have read The
KEY TO THEOSOPHY and, I think, if you go back there and consult the
Index to the chapters, the key is given to this.

Without electricity and magnetism, molecules, atoms and sub-atomic
particles you could not have the various states and conditions of
substance, one of which we call our physical matter.

And note that even science agrees it is in constant vibratory
flux/reflux, and is unstable.

Yet we record continuing continuity of form and cause/effect. Why
should this be ? We deal in memories of what it was when it happened.

We do not invariably perceive the very small changes constantly
occurring.

We also perceive the changes follow a pattern, and conclude there are
laws in Nature which govern these events. We see how we govern our
actions when we fix on a desire and strive to make it come about. What
is the Will? How does the mind use it? How are any motions made
possible?

I have puzzled over these things for years.

How about you?

Dal

I've been under the impression that student's
of Theosophy tend to think that "physical"
refers to comparative, relative, karmic,
mayavic appearances only, much as "physical"
in a dream might be realized as a conditional
reality on waking. I'm guessing you might've
had such conditional physicality in mind,
Dallas.

Speculatively,
Mauri
