My understanding is, the movie is not funded by a government but by 
Mel Gibson, a private citizen who is Australian and na not American, 
and who belongs to a group which split off from the Roman Catholic 
church when they refused to accept the pope's command to dump 
antiSemitism from the church's teaching. Roman Catholicism prior to 
about 1960 was a violently antiSemitic religion.

I do not know how well the new is reported in Asia so here are the 
facts. Bush's daddy is in the oil business. The Bush oil family 
believes there may be more oil in Iraq than in Saudi Arabia. They 
cannot possibly be expected to acquire those assets at their own 
expense. That would diminish their profits. So Bush used his 
position to conquer Iraq's oil fields at the expense of the American 
taxpayer (after getting two tax abatements through the congress to 
relieve himself personally from paying anything) and then awarded a 
secret sweetheart deal to his vice president's company to control all 
the oil after the conquest. He may be a liar but he is not subtle.  
In anticipation of inheriting his daddy's oil wealth, Bush's first 
act of office was to get the estate tax repealed. He made it clear 
he had designs on other oil producing countries but now that 
his "army" is bogged down in Iraq and at the point of mutiny, he 
seems to have dropped his other plans of conquest. If you are 
interested in how imperialism is done, this is it. He has other self-
enrichment schemes hatching but unless the supreme court ooverturns 
the 2004 election the way they did the 2000 election he is going back 
to that hog farm ofhis in January 2005 and taking his cronies and 
sidekicks with him.
