Since your study of theosophical history goes a lot deeper than mine,
and I haven't taken notes while studying this stuff, I can only say
that there is a report by someone (I think Wachtmeister) that she put
a lot of papers to the flames. It is my assumption that that was the
material she already had for volume III. As you well know, this was
supported by many theosophists. On the other hand your own conclusion
that most of volume three is the origional volume one also makes
sense. In short I eat my words and refer back to:
