I consider the anti-Alice Bailey feeling to be a bit overblown.
However, there is an element in the Arcane School (and NOT present in
the majority of the members I have met) that believes that they are the
One True Successor(tm) to the Theosophical movement, and therefore that
all Theosophists should join the Arcane School.
Frankly, I consider the Arcane School to be a religious offshoot of the
Theosophical Society rather than a replacement organization, and
therefore have no more or less problem with it than I do with, say, the
Liberal Catholic Church or the Esoteric Section. Members of the two
latter groups, of course, might have a problem indeed.
