wierd things happening from spam

I just wanted to mention something unusual that happened to me because of
some email spammer. I had posted some message on the bn-study mailing list.
It included at its end an automatically generated email id to respond to if
I wanted to unsubscribe from that list. Apparently, that message ended up
somewhere where someone picked up that address from the internet and added
it to their spam email id list. When they send spam to that address, the
list management software automatically unsubscribed me from bn-study. What
does this suggest? Always look at the end of messages that you might be
forwarding or resending to make sure there aren't such lines in the email
you're sending out.
