Another source is the book, ANCIENT MAN: A HANDBOOK OF PUZZLING
ARTIFACTS, compiled by William R. Corliss, Pub, The Sourcebook
Project, Glen Arm, Md. 21057, 1978. It is about 775 pages long.
Page 636 starts a section on Fossil Human Footprints, tracks imbedded
in limestone and others. Reports from several countries in Central
America, Foot prints in Stratified Rock, p. 649.
Curious Human skeletons imbedded in coal, discovered in coal mines, p.
661, and something that may be found currently, "Bones in Stone,
Barnes, F. A.; Desert Magazine, 38:36-39, Feb. 1975. (most of the
other entries are from the 1820s to 1900.)
The earlier parts of the book are about buildings, and writings, and
other things.
I don't know whether they have a web site now. The published several
other books about this same size, on Astronomy, The Unknown Earth, and
other things. It was an ongoing project, so probably there are other
books in the series.
