Brigitte,
I found your articles on Vril, Landig and the
central/black sun at the Theosophy board. I have
followed this new myth system from the US and feel
that very similar ideas developed there independently
from European traditions.
My specialty is William Dudley Pelley (1890-1965),
novelist, screenwriter, mystic and founder of the
antisemitic Silvershirts (1933-1940). I also know a
bit about Madole and his NRP.
Pelley claimed never to have read the Secret Doctrine,
but the lessons he circulated concerned with
antedeluvian history bear much resemblance to
Rosicrucian materials. His position was that he had
channeled the material. Any similar teachings could be
offered as unbiased support for his findings.
I want to give you a couple of names that certainly
tie the US and German schools together. Dr. Frank W.
Sumner was a resident of Indianapolis, IN in 1932 when
Pelley opened the Galahad College in Asheville, NC.
Galahad College offered lectures on Pyramidology,
Christian Economics and various metaphysical topics.
Sumner relocated and taught there during the summer
term, the only term the school would hold. He remained
in that part of North Carolina until his death more
than 25 years later.
In 1957 New Age Publishers of Los Angeles, operated by
Dorothy Thomas and her husband, published The Coming
Golden Age by Dr. F.W. Sumner. New Age Publishers
worked closely with Pelley as well as Meade Layne,
George Adamski and George Hunt Williamson, prominent
in the early UFO contactee movement. Williamson wrote
a regular UFO column for Pelley's weekly Valor
magazine from Noblesville, IN in 1953.
I was fascinated to discover last year a German
edition of Sumner's book:
Sumner F. W. Dr. Das kommende Goldene Zeizalter. Die
großen, jetzt im Gang befindlichen kosmischen
Veränderungen und unsere Zukunft. Urgemeinde Verlag
Wiesbaden 1967 . 42 S brosch. Hinteres Umschlagblatt
fehlt (3) - <Bestellnr. 121>
[SW: Zentralsonne].
This was first published in 1957 by Ventla Verlag as
Das kommende goldene Zeitalter. I suspect the
translator was Karl Veit, a name I only recently
learned but who seems to have been a very interesting
figure. Karl Veit published German editions of many of
the New Age Publishers books and must have been
acquainted with the Thomases and likely Pelley.
I recommend that you read The Coming Golden Age as it
is very much in line with what you were discussing.
Also along the line of Black Sun elements finding
their way into fiction, I recently found out about the
Jules Verne book The Green Ray, which I think might be
of interest, though I have not read it yet. It deals
with Scots who cannot be lied to after seeing the
light. I thought a bit of fey, which is another ethnic
mystic trait. There is a concept known as
metagenetics, first explained by Stephen McNallen ca.
1985, which deals with European racial mysticism.
I think the Aryan cult devoted to this central sun
energy would like to think of it as exclusive. Only
the blood and/or brain of descendants of Aryans can
receive these impulses.
For now I am mostly interested in finding 1930s
references to this central sun energy of the Aquarian
Age along with any material related to Pelley and his
associates or Ahnenerbe expeditions to Iceland, where
I am living now.
Best Regards,
Vance Pollock
Reykjavík, Iceland.
