I have never heard of such a thing. Certainly, he resigned from a 
single Theosophical organization, but a major leader of the organization 
did something to him which, in his opinion, was highly unethical 
(specifically, did not make any negative comments when a copy of the 
manuscript was given to him for review, but, after the book was 
published, voraciously attacked it).
