Re: Theos-World HPB and Bereavement

A very dear friend of mind passed away a few weeks ago. A real caliber of
spiritual stature, on of those quiet guys, who loved and worked for his Lord
without making any show of it. I was away in England, so when I came back to
Israel, I went to console his wife, who was somewhat sad, after 64 years of
living together. After a while, I said, what crossed my mind, that we ought
to mourn on those who came to the world *light*, and left it *heavy* (loaded
with bad impressions), which definitely wasn't the case here. I think
bereavement is a way for humans to keep the departing soul attached to the
physical realm. In my circles we use to celebrate the departure of a soul -
a person came to earth, did some work, maybe achieved a higher state of
consciousness, erased some old bad memories, paid off some of his karmic
debts, learnt not to create new ones. Why not to celebrate? It simply makes
the voyage of the soul smoother. Best loving wishes. Etzion
