I was just reading something which another group posted about the
Tibetan's views on the role and the symbolic nature of any country's
leader. The people put them in power in most cases, he/she represents
the will and the interest of the people in most cases, this leader's
future as a leader is also in the hands of the people ruled in most
cases. So, if a leader is found to be evil, sadistic or murderous
then it is up to the people to see that he is removed from power.

We have seen this in many regimes before and since Hitler's Reich.
However, it seems that the will of the people in Iraq was either not
functioning or was frozen with fear. Those people have suffered 3
wars in the last 22 years and have put up with Sadaam I think for
about 35 years. He has become more than a dictator he has become God
in his own eyes, but not in the eyes of the honest Iraqis. It seems
the highest role of this war, America has given power to the heart
and voice of the Iraqi people. This is what has been stolen from them
by Sadaam Hussein.

It may also be the ONE right thing that Bush is doing. I must say I
am shocked by the fact that they have destroyed the palaces. I think
there is also a prophecy that says that Baghdad will be destroyed but
NOT rebuilt this time! I have said that it is NOT our place to
replace Sadaam--but it may be our duty to return the voice to the
people of Iraq.
