Hi Bart and all of you,

My view is:
Please explain where that quote came from - because I am not aware of that I
have written that.
I think you have misunderstood something.
I don't know, what your drive is, but my view was NOT, that We should have
any killings.
The quote by Martin Luther King Jr. in that email should have taken care of
this position.
Didn't you read my second last email to you ?
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/theos-talk/message/11389

Here below most of it is again !
I will add : That a violent Muslim is a bad Muslim...
I thought that was obvious to a Theosophist ...when I wrote "etc..." in
mentioned email.

My views:

No, I disagree.
The voilent Jew is a bad Jew.
The violent American is a bad American.
The violent German is a bad German.
The violent Bart Simpson is bad Simpson.
etc...

I will refer to Martin Luther King Jr.:

"I think the first reason that we should love our enemies, and I think this
is at the very center of Jesus' thinking, is this: that hate for hate only
intensifies the existence of hate and evil in the universe. If I hit you and
you hit me and I hit you back and you hit me back and go on, you see, that
goes on ad infinitum. It just never ends. Somewhere somebody must have a
little sense, and that's the strong person. The strong person is the person
who can cut off the chain of hate, the chain of evil. And that is the
tragedy of hate, that it doesn't cut it off. It only intensifies the
existence of hate and evil in the universe. Somebody must have religion
enough and morality enough to cut it off, and inject within the very
structure of the universe that strong and powerful element of love."

Excerpted from "Loving Your Enemies", a sermon delivered on 17 November 1957
at Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Ala. (full text)

********
Let me note, that I am fully convinced, that The philsophy and practise of
non-violence is among the best methods of improving the inadequacies of the
present global social system.
It has a way of disarming the opponent. It exposes his moral defenses and it
weakens his morale. And it works on the evil-doers conscience. Our destiney
is tied up with The United Nations !
Let it be said that the Theosophists did their duty.
