Search Engines and Theosophy Websites

Recently I was in a course which discussed about doing business on the web.
It appears that one of the keys to increasing visitors to a website is the
site coming up high searches on the search engines.

Search engines garner information about websites using programs called
spiders, which look into each website and identify key (text) words and
store the key word information along with the website URL on the search
engine data base. When I looked at some of the "theosophical" websites, I
was not impressed by the information provided by the websites which the
search engine spiders will extract and store in search engine data base.
This could be due to the web designers being either newbees or amateurs. It
looks like some of the sites may benefit from a look over by experts in
this field who could suggest changes that would help increase number of
visitors because of the search engines putting the sites high on the search
lists.
