Re: Theos-World anti-Theosophical conspiracies

Thanks, Paul, for your frankness in clearing up the record about "Anti
Theosophical" conspiracies, and your position as an ex-Theosophist but not an
anti-theosophist. While I don't think that there aren't any
"anti-Theosophists" (Since I have seen some of them in action, whatever their
reasons) -- I do think it could be questionable as to whether there are any
conspiracies or other organizations trying to break up the Theosophical
Movement... Except, perhaps, those ostensibly religious, and possibly even
political organizations that Blavatsky specifically targeted as being
inimical to the public dissemination of fundamental truths... In particular,
those truths that could eventually wake up and bring together into a true
brotherhood, all people who had been duped by the dogmas and lies of these
organizations into blindly following the dictates of their own lower natures
-- resulting in actions based on self centered greed and indifference toward
others that have led to most of the present problems of the world.

Maybe it would be a good idea for us to distinguish between the Theosophical
Movement, the original Theosophical Society, the various TS spin-off
organizations, other ostensibly theosophical organizations and secret
societies, theosophical study groups, and individual theosophists.

For example, as a "theosophist" (in the definitive meaning of the word, which
identifies one as a searcher for fundamental truth or "divine wisdom") -- I
am not now, nor have I ever have been a member of the Theosophical Society or
it's esoteric section (although I have received much "inside" information
about them from various sources). Neither have I ever been a member of any
other organization that professes to be theosophical, religious, or occult --
such as the Arcane Group, the Lucis Trust, Course of Miracles, Golden Dawn,
Masons, or any similar organization, secret society, or religious order --
including all the major world religions... Although, I have carefully, and in
great depth over a period of almost 65 years studied them all and compared
their root metaphysical and moral/ethical teachings to the teachings of Madam
Blavatsky and her so called, "Masters." In addition, I have compared these
teachings with the latest and most reasonable scientific laws and principles
that guide the involution and evolution of the Universe, and all the "worlds"
and "beings" within it.

Besides the teachings of most of the Prometheans of classical and modern
science, these studies have also included the teachings of Gurdjieff,
Ouspensky, Crowley, Casey, Bailey, Leadbeater, Perucker, etc., as well as the
teachings of the Buddhist, Hebrew, Egyptian, Hindu, Christian, Muslim, Sufi,
and Greek Masters of Wisdom -- from Thoth/Hermes, through Pythagorus, Plato,
Aristotle, Plotinus, etc., to Buddha, Nagarjuna, Tsongkapa, Sankaracharya,
Padmasambava, Moses, Lao Tse, Confucius, Mohammed, etc., etc., as well as
their wise disciples (to name them all would fill a book).

The goal was, as HPB may also have done, to cull out all their contradictions
and arrive at the fundamental truths common to them all... And then, to
formulate the resultant metaphysical truths into one consolidated "theory of
everything" that would be completely consistent with both the teachings of
ancient theosophy and the most advanced theories of modern physical
science... And then, to present such a theory -- in effect, to write my own
(not so) "Secret Doctrine" in the common "language of this Age" so that
ordinary intelligent people could understand it, and thus, realize the truth
and validity of theosophy and its teachings of karma, reincarnation, and the
unity of all -- while accepting and acting on the ethical, moral and
individual responsibility precepts they imply.

Although, I am not certain that I have yet found the complete and final
answer, It seems to me that this modern way of presenting theosophy should be
the joint effort and common goal of all convinced "theosophists," wherever
they may be situated, or whatever their personal organizational or religious
affiliations. There's no need to believe in Masters or Magic to understand
the fundamental nature of reality and one's part in it. Those ideas will
become self evident once one is fully cognizant of the way consciousness,
time, and matter interrelate through all seven levels of being on both the
macro and the micro levels -- or when one has become fully self realized and
enlightened.

While I do not subscribe to any of the theosophical Organizations, and
sometimes disagree with those who have led them in the past and currently
lead them, this doesn't mean that that I am anti such groups... Since, much
of their fundamental understandings as well as their aims and purposes toward
achieving a brotherhood of all humankind, are similar to mine. Also, I am
not the enemy of anyone attempting, by historical references, to point out
the flaws in such groups and the failures of their leaders, However, I am
the enemy of anyone who polemically uses such information to denigrate the
fundamental teachings of theosophy, or the credibility of its sincere
teachers such as Blavatsky, her Masters, and some of her students or
disciples -- whose sole aim is and was to disseminate those teachings in the
interest of achieving the three objects of the Theosophical Movement...
Namely, To form the nucleus of a Universal Brotherhood of Humanity, without
distinction of race, creed, sex, caste or color; The study of ancient and
modern religions, philosophies and sciences, and the demonstration of the
importance of such study, and; The investigation of the unexplained laws of
nature and the psychical powers latent in man.

I hope this explains my position as a student/teacher of theosophy, as well
as puts the words "theosophy" and "theosophical" in their proper
connotations, and distinguishes the teachings, themselves, from the
organizations that profess them in varying degrees.

Sincerely,

LHM
