Yes, the thing that has always amazed me about Mormonism is that it 
attracts what are clearly very high quality people and yet the 
religion is so utterly preposterous. Those two facts seem to abut 
and contradict each other. Someone pointed out in FACT magazine (I 
believe that was the name of it) that since the religion was revealed 
by an angel named Moroni, its name properly should be Moronism and 
that someone misspelled it, inadvertently adding an extra "m".

Since you brought up Mor[m]onism, could you commenton this business 
of Mormons posthumously baptizing Jews. What is this all about and 
why are the Jews upset about it? For that matter, why would they 
care? Do they believe that affects the post-mortem fate of their 
ancestors?
