Re: Theos-World RE: Theosophy by way of Tibetan Mahayana Buddhism?

Hi. I have left messages on this subject more than once. The teaching of
Mahayana Buddhism radically differs from the teaching of theosophy as
presented by Madame Blavatsky, as Mahahyana Buddhism does not teach that
there is a primal cause, whereas Madame Blavatsky refers to a primal cause
time and time again. In deed, the whole teaching of Mahayana Buddhism is
designed around the understanding that all causes and conditions are
interconnected to each other and interdependent on each other; therefore
there cannot be a primal cause, and in Mahayana Buddhism, the idea that
there is a primal cause is considered to be ridiculous and is vigorously
disputed by logic in the tenets of the Madyamika School... This is in no way
to imply that the study of theosophy is not valuable or worth pursuing, but
it is more likely that a person would study theosophy first as a doorway to
Mahayana Buddhism than the opposite. I am glad to see that many people on
here are interested in Buddhism and associate theosophy, in some ways, with
it. Sincerely, Wry
