Al Sharpton has about as much political credibility as Jerry Lewis. In
addition, the people who came up with the "65,000" figure were a
partisan group, using very questionable methods. Also, a Republican
black was 10 times as likely to have hsi vote spoiled as a Democratic
black. Finally, in the overwhelming majority of those spoiled ballots,
the Democratic party was under complete control over the process which
resulted in those spoiled ballots. So, if the Democrats wish to
complain, it is akin to a person who murders his parents, and asks the
court for mercy because he's an orphan.

The SCOTUS did NOT vote the president into office. They simply stated
that the deadline had been reached, and, after 5 separate counts of the
votes, with George Bush winning every single recount, that the votes had
in fact been counted. And subsequent recounts showed the SCOTUS to have
been correct; the only way that Gore could have won is if you counted
all the ballots where people voted twice, and assumed that they were all
for Gore.

The authority of the SCOTUS came from the SCOFLA attempting to change
election law for a national election AFTER the election has already
taken place.
