Certainly, the leaders and those who bought their system had culpability.
But, is that any reason to condemn the whole worldwide group of true
theosophists or the teachings itself for their actions? Guilt by association,
and resultant prejudice against an entire, group of whatever persuasion,
association, race, etc., can never be condoned, and goes against all the
moral and ethical teachings of theosophy -- which was what I was talking about
.
