Subject: Theos-World partial soluction to not typing in upper case
Date: Tue, 19 Nov 2002 07:59:43 -0800
Goswami:
I haven't had time to read and comment on the message, but do have a
technical suggesting regarding how the writing is being done.
I have Office XP on my laptop. Reading your latest message into it, I'm
able to quickly correct the upper case typing.
Taking as example the text:
>FOR EXAMPLE, IN INDIA, THE VEDIC AND PURANIC CONCEPT OF
>THE SACRAMENTAL SOCIAL BODY (DAIVA VARNASHRAM DHARMA SYSTEM) OF THE
>SELF-SACRIFICED COSMIC PURUSHA (RIG VEDA PURUSHA SUKTA HYMN) WAS
>CORRUPTED BY THE CONSCIENCE-LESS POWERFUL INTO THE OPPRESSIVE
>REINCARNATION-AND-KARMA DOCTRINE RELATED BIRTH-CASTE SYSTEM. AS IN
>PROTESTANT PURITANISM, A HAPPY PRIVILEGED LIFE WAS CONSIDERED BY THE
>ELITE BIRTH-CASTE BRAHMINS TO BE THE RESULT OF COSMIC FAVOR OR SU
>KARMA / GOOD KARMA.
I selected the text, then specified
Format -> change case -> sentence case
Word XP changed the text to:
>For example, in india, the vedic and puranic concept of
>The sacramental social body (daiva varnashram dharma system) of the
>Self-sacrificed cosmic purusha (rig veda purusha sukta hymn) was
>Corrupted by the conscience-less powerful into the oppressive
>Reincarnation-and-karma doctrine related birth-caste system. As in
>Protestant puritanism, a happy privileged life was considered by the
>Elite birth-caste brahmins to be the result of cosmic favor or su
>Karma / good karma.
While the text does not have perfect capitalization, it's much more
readable. I'd suggest looking into getting Word XP if your computer
supports it. It would be useful for especially long messages, and text
from it can be copied to an email using cut-and-paste.
