Dear Mauri:

Dot get hung up on exoteric / esoteric. It has no meaning. I write in
as straight a logic as I can devise. It is the only way to
communicate -- as you will find in Theosophy, if you make a study of
it.

Personally I am of no consequence. The thinking and the philosophy is
of consequence. But it requires study, Identify for your self the
fundamentals in thought that seem to prevail and present a constant
base and a consistent one.

This can only be done by following a proposition to its logical
conclusion. It either has viability and continuity or it is a
dead-end.

Its not to wiggle with the lower mind into maybes and perhapses, but
rather to try and select a single trend, and then find out where it
originates and how it applies in various situations with various
people. Outside of ourselves and our minds is the view that others
have. What kind of consensus can be found?

If the whole universe is interconnects, and if everyone shares in each
other then the relation of any thread to another ought to become
plain.

There might be (?) senses of "matter/time" that might
transcend our present notions . . . but, in the meanwhile,
well . . .

<<Seems to me the equation is not a question of time but
of thoroughness. >>

Seems to me (re "fast" and "slow" "spiritual progress") that
manasic tendencies to formulize or crystalize about such
"progress" (ie, to exoterize and reify it, as if it were not
"live and ineffable," and thereby could be "successfully
modelized about" without regard for its ineffable, esoteric,
underlying nature) is in keeping with the kind of mentality
or karmic phase that . . . seems rather prevalent on this
planet . . .

<<Note particularly the last 4 pages of the "Fragment" --
the questions asked and the conditions implied.>>

Thanks. I'll see about that, I hope . . . Maybe if I write a
memo about it . . .

<<Some do it slowly and need far more than 7 lives.
Others with enormous will power may do it far more
quickly.>>

"Willpower"? In what sense . . . I was under the
impression that "spiritual things" might be somewhat "more
realistically" seen as relating to certain kinds of
"transcending," instead . . . In my attempts to try not to
too ridiculously reify, modelize, limitize, I'm "using quotes"
(at least here and there, once in a while). . . and don't
forget the "dots" . . .
