To Daniel.Re.Brian

Hi Daniel. There is a hollowness and a flatness to Brian.s words. I realize now that at least part of the reason is because a lot of his words are not his own. You have sufficiently convinced me of this by various posts you have left.

I was going to respond to his post, anyway, when I got a chance, as I have had three experiences of telepathy that were extraordinary. One of these was almost forty years ago and involved hearing a loud crackling, buzzing noise, much like a radio static and then I heard my teacher's voice, very distinct, exactly as if it were on a radio, saying "can you hear me?" At this time in my life and never in my life have I been interested in or attracted to anything to do with telepathy, mediums, or anything of that kind. I never previously conceived or read of any kind of telepathy that involved the noise of static, etc. I was sort of psychic and when I was very young I was interested in this for about a minute, but it was not my cup of tea to develop it further and I am not attracted to anything to do with this subject. I have always been very reality based and my life's work up till now has involved cleansing myself of negative and mechanical patterns and verifying physical reality.

I happen to be very knowledgeable about certain subjects such as the supernatural as I have had a lot of unusual experiences, involving a poltergeist and I have also had most of the classic UFO experiences, which I do NOT, I repeat, NOT believe have anything to do with aliens. I am actually sort of an expert on the subject of the UFO experience, but I have never been a believer and have investigated these experiences as objectively as possible. One conclusion I have come to is that human beings can, under certain circumstances, interact with electro-magnetic fields. This is partially responsible for a lot of people's UFO experiences, but there is more to it, some of which I do not care to discuss, but of course, always a scientific explanation.
What Brian says (or has perhaps copied from someone else) about hypnotism, I agree with, but I will have to read his message again.

My other two experiences of telepathy were of an entirely different nature than the first one, and even more extraordinary. I rarely if ever talk about any of my experiences, as it is too boring to me, though probably not to others, and will lead no where. It is just one person's subjective experience. The subject that interests me is how to be impartially attentive to myself AS I AM IN DAILY MANIFESTATION, rather than being lost in daydreams and negativity and how to connect with others so that we can serve as support in doing the same.

I realize I have defended Brian, but if he is continually plagiarizing and not using his own words, and never engaging in sincere dialogue, it is my opinion that his membership on this list should perhaps be reevaluated. But I may have different standards, as I would not post the words of HB either or any theosophical writings from the past, except perhaps on very rare occasions. People need to learn to use their own words. We will all develop much faster that way. I have my own small list, but not on Yahoo, and it is moderated, but I remove all members from moderation so that they can post directly, and if anyone causes trouble, I just put them back on moderation. This means they can still receive posts and I can screen their material. I do not know if this is possible to do on yahoo, but harsness (which some people consider flaming, but I do not) is always allowed as long as people put real ideas in their posts that are responses to anothers material. I tried to institute an interrogatory policy where members were required to answer any reasonable question that was asked of them in the spirit of enquiry, regarding any material in their own posts (not random questions etc.) but it didn't go over well.

Re. my other two experiences of telepathy, they were most amazing and completely unexpected, and of an entirely different nature than the first. The first time, the person who communicated with me (if it was not an auditory hallucination, which I have not verified) was hundreds of miles away, was most highly developed and unusual, AND I was sleep deprived and under stress, though, for certain reasons, I believe this experience to have been genuine). But the second two experiences, about thirty-five years later and a few days apart, with two different people, one of whom was my grandson, who was four at the time, and the other with a stranger I was standing behind in a dance class, were of an entirely different nature than the first, but exactly similar to each other, and entered the realm of the miraculous. Until I had these two experiences, I never really believed in telepathy. Even though I had had the first experience, I put it aside as an anomaly, but the second two experiences were unmistakably similar to each other and very unique. Maybe I will describe them sometime. Now I personally am convinced there is telepathy and feel on the verge of being telepathic. If it is a potential ability, I would like to claim it as my birthright, but who really care if there is telepathy or not? I do not believe people should be focusing on this as it has little if anything to do with spiritual development, whereas developing patience and learning to tolerate the displeasing manifestations of my neighbor does, or developing a simple technique to verify and record impartial data about myself AS I AM does. To me telepathy is not that interesting. The miracle that there is life and that we are HERE far transcends the "miracle" of telepathy, but maybe some rainy day, if enquiry ever gets too deep (ha ha ha), just to lighten things up, I will share some of my experiences of the "supernatural" Sincerely, Wry P.S. Daniel, if you are concerned that Brian is striking a blow to Theosophy, that is too silly. His material is getting flatter and flatter because his own spark is not in it. Most people will not read it, but even if they do, it will not harm anything. Enquiry, though, could TRANSFORM and REVITALIZE Theosophy in a way that could help many people.
