Hi all of you,

Here are some views:
Interesting article Caldwell mentions.

>From the article one gets :
"According to Theosophy, both the Masters and spiritual taught originated in the "East" and since one could not go to Tibet, colonized India and Sri Lanka replaced it for all practical purposes. "

But what is the "East", which the article refers to being important to Theosophy ??
It is not quite the same it seems.
HPB's version of the "East" most likely also covered Pakistan, Afghanistanand their northern areas.
Those who have studied the area will know of its importance to the Ancient Wisdom tradition of ages past.

Today both the United Nations and a greater number of Theosophists seems tolaugh at the middle east, while the hail the western (USA generated) way of living. I.e. - Fast cars, girls, sex, glamour, tv, videos, competition, stock speculation, Black Jack and the like, fat food, unhealthy food, overabuse, drugs of all sorts, the right to have a number of nuclear bombs, and other dangerous tools.
What do they know about silent meditation and the life of the real masters !?
Do they care for anything than themselves and their own country ?
To throw around with money doesn't imply than one really cares !

>From the article:
"anti-christian challenges"

Christian emotional prayer - and church-tax wasn't quite the idea Christ had in mind. One just need to reread the gospels !
And one can't serve both God and money. You have to make a choice !
Most of the present Christian churches of today seems to have made THEIR choice. And not much has change since the 1880'ies.
Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King Jr. and others did something though. But not many of the readers of this will dare live like her or him. And maybe that is allright and maybe not.

A view:
HPB's actions in the early days of the Theosophical Society is not as important as the later years after the production of The Secret Doctrine and TheKey to Theosophy and a number of very interesting articles.
Well just call it a view.

Try for instance a newer book within the Ancient Wisdom tradition:
"The People of the Secret" by Ernest Scott.

Book adressed to the time, place and people has their importance. Some books are for the readers, while others others not. Time changes the need of people.

To be overwelmingly interested in very old books from around the 1880'ies -could be called a spiritual disease - even a severe one.

Newer books than those of HPB could have something to offer, and also something that shows HPB's books and articles importance.

The Internet is different. Here everyone shouts. But what good do they do ?
Do they love people by their actions ?

Let us know them by their fruits ! (Christ)

Words in an email doesn't always reveal the motive and reason for the email.

That was some views. "Physical" views.
