G'day fellas,
I don't like to enter into bulls#@t topics but from my
very comfortable position away from all the mess that
is occurring in your parts of the world one thing
about this whole Israel/Palestine, and indeed the war
on "terror", situation that has caught my attention:
poverty. In a very inspiring speech by that very
inspiring leader in that country, what do they call
that place again? ah yes America, it was said that
Arafat had to go because he could not address the
Palestinian poverty problem (something along those
lines anyway). Would it not be wise to give these
potential suicide bombers some form of employment so
that they do not have to resort to blowing themselves
up in order that their family gets a feed? True, they
do not purely undertake suicide for monetary benefits
but in some cases it must be so. Where, I can here
some of you asking, would these people find employment
from? Well one place would be from funds provided by
Israel. In effect, rather than going into the West
Bank to shoot these people why not go into the West
Bank and pay them money to plant a tree or dig a hole
or something. The wealthier Palestinians are the
wealthier would the Israelis eventually be. Have we
not learnt anything from WWI and WWII? Either the
world is completely mad or I have missed something
altogether from my comfortable chair. hmmmm I wonder
what is on the TV....yep, another suicide bomber
wrecking havoc. The insanity continues.
