Dear Gerry:

True each Personality has its preferences and the use of harmony and
discord as understood varies accordingly.

What I have always been seeking is the ideal or as close to that as I
could get.

I am sure that ideals are about as common and widespread -- call them
universals and impartials -- even "fundamentals ?" -- but perhaps we
could meet on some agreement in those.

I am in agreement with Theosophy that there is always a "spiritual"
base and that such is common to all. But the evolution of mind and of
form in which the mind resides is subject to Karma and evolution.

Karma is that trail of debts (due and owed) which life seems to
encumber us with. The presumption is that there is an "excellence"
which each individual using "common sense" and "idealism", even
"intuition" and certainly "Meditation" (in search of TRUTH), can
recognize.

I would go so far as to say that our Ideals most probably coincide if
and when pushed to their extreme limit or reviewed back to their (and
our individual) "starting points."

I find that Theosophy deals with these, in considering those as the
"virtues" and the "vices" -- vice been an aggravated and exaggerated
virtue.

If this is acceptable then some "laws and rules" will seem needed --
or is that stretching?

Are there any great rules and laws that run the Universe and Nature
and our earth and interpenetrate us at all levels?

Harmony seems (to me) to be the ability to handle discord and cause
even antagonism and criticism to be moderated by examination and a
search for common meeting grounds.

When I look at my world, I see both harmony and discord. Do you see

universe.
I cannot do anything else. I find that I can neither use nor abuse
universal
harmony nor universal discord, even if I wanted to. The problem here
is that
one person's harmony is another person's discord. Some people like rap
music
and consider it harmony. To me it is discord. And so it goes. So I
guess I
fail to see the "universal" part of this whole business. Anyway, when
I look
outward I see "my" universe rather than "the" universe, so maybe that
plays
a part here? In my universe I find that I cannot use or abuse its
laws, but
can only follow them. Maybe your world is different, Dallas?
