speculation and Theosophy

Subject: Some of my speculative thoughts about the place of
self-directed/intuitive/creative speculation in Theosophy.

In as much as (or in keeping with) where Theosophy might be seen as
part of a process by which we might get closer to, in a sense, "more
Reality," there would seem to be, as I see it, certain kinds of
opportunities in life that, if taken advantage of, if given some
meaningful/"original"/creative/self-directed thought (or speculation),
might, to some extent, help to bridge the gap between the more Real
Self (or "higher self," or buddhi, or atma) and the "normal"
conscious/persona-self . That is, without certain kinds of
speculative/"original"/creative/self-directed efforts, how can we
realistically, in exoteric terms, expect to get much past the
collective/individualistic fog that the average current reality (and
exoteric Theosophy) represents?

In other words, as I see it, unless "students of Theosophy," in general,
find within themselves their own versions of "Theosophic relevance,"
as by "more self-directed," speculative efforts, how can there be any
realistic progress on their Paths. I think I'm advocating/cultivating
a
kind of "pathless path" here (in a certain kind of
self-directed/creative/speculative sense) that would, in effect, at
least
begin to cross the bridge between our "exoteric study process" and
"more-direct knowing" . . .

Speculatively,
Mauri

PS If my posts and speculations and attempts at humour have been
going over like lead balloons . . . well, sorry about that. Not that
saying "sorry" is making much difference, but isn't it customary to say
"sorry" in certain kinds of situations . . . Well, not that I'm not at
all
sorry, in my way; and not that "I really know" what kind of "situation"
I'm in here, exactly, or have been in . . . "but" . . .
