Lobsang and Yetis

Feb 07, 2002 01:15 PM

So it appears then this Tuesday Lobsang Rampa character is but that. One thing that was written in the Third Eye was these monks going high into the mountains to obtain rare herbs. While up there they claimed to have seen Yetis. Obviously this claim would have to be treated with a great deal of scepticism. Nevertheless, I am intensly interested in this notion of these so called human-like beasts that stalk the never regions of the world. We call them Bunyips down here and I am sure every other culture/society has there own beast. But let me put a hypothetical to you all: when those last remaing Neanderthals were dying out, do you think the Europeans at the time had myths about these "beasts"?
