Dear Brigitte,
It was kind of Larry to give us some background on LDS, since we are
bandying the name around without any other documentation about it.
I would feel better if a Christian Scientist would weigh in,
after having their name inserted among my words, me, who knows
absolutely nothing about Christian Science. You probably won't get
anything further from me about devil or antichrist. Not my favorite
topics at all. I was responding to others when those words crossed
my keyboard, in one of those late-night fits of literary impressionism.
As
for my background, liberal protestant church in childhood, a few years
liberation period, then found theosophy, some 30 years ago. Yes, so far
that still is "most of my life." Organized
religion just didn't offer substantial enough answers to my
questions. Theosophy offered me the tools to figure things out for
myself, which is what I like.
Sorry everyone for the boring personal stuff, but Brigitte asked for
the truth. Hard to resist.
