A Fine Sunday Morn

Good morning all,
Absolutely glorious Sunday here in Sydney. Now the
smoke has cleared from the bushfires and we can all
breathe again, what better occassion is there to take
the oppotunity to visit the local markets. After
experiencing some Himalayan cuisine I stumbled
acrossed a stall selling old antique books. You know
the typical ones on Australia's great Anzac heroes
combating those "evil" Germans, a childern's pictorial
of Africa's finest and feircest fauna and, of course,
Reverened A. G. Hollingworth's revised account of
Archbishop Gable's 1289 interpretation of the Bible.
Lo and behold in the back corner, under another book
of Africa's animals, was a collection of journal's
from the 1920s entitled: "Quarterly Transactions of
the British College of Psychic Science". Interesting
indeed!! After paying $25 for a set of seven (having
talked the stall owner down from a ridiculous price of
$28) I set about finding a place of solitude to
reflect on my new material possessions. A book review
in volume 5 No. 1, April 1928 edition, page 65, caught
my attention. It was titled: Man's Survival After
Death: An appreciation of Rev. C. L. Tweedale's book;
with the Editor, F. Bligh Bond, giving the review. In
this book the author examines various aspects of
phenomena dealing with death, eg ghosts etc. More
specifically the Editor writes: "In speaking of the
objectivity of the spiritual body we note that often
apparitional figures...have been observed to be
reflected in the mirrors - reflection and apparition
seen simultaneously. The radiance of these forms is
discussed." In trying to explain this and other such
phenomena a whole range of reasons are given
including:
clairvoyance
materialization
psychic photography
the power of precipitation of pigments for the
formation of pigments
levitations
and more....
I wish I could get a hold of this book to see what the
good Reverened has to say about the words provided by
Blavatsky et al. In the meantime....I'm off to the
beach for a swim. Good day to you all.
