As I see it there is only ever 1 monad - it divides within itself
endlessly creating more internal divisions - divisions occur on
different planes - at one level we have 'us' - on another level there is
organic matter - and then there is energies etc - you can't put any kind
of fixed number on any of these divisions - it just happens 

Occassioanlly one of the personalities boundaries break down and it
glimpses the truth - sometimes the boundaries return and the personality
contains the gnostic truth -othertimes the boundaries disolve
