The first web page that I find mentioning the Gayatri
and planes includes a reference to the writings of
Leadbeater. It is:
<http://www.radiantstar.com/theosophy/mantras.html>
There are likely other pages. (Note that I found these
using google.com with the following keywords.)
gayatri theosophy seven planes
Some extracts from the page follow.

While chanting contemplate:
The Glory of the Light, which encompases the three worlds - Om, Bhuh Bhuvah
Svah
The splendor and grace emanating from the Great Light - Tat Savitur
Varenyum; Bhargo Devasya Dhemahe
Final transformation/liberation through invocation of the divine
intelligence pervading all the Universe in the form of light - Dhiyo Yo Na
Prachodayat
The following is taken from the book Healing Mantras by Thomas Ashley-Farrand:
The following is the long form of the Gayatri Mantra which is seldom seen
but was found in this book:
OM BHUH, OM BHUVAHA, OM SWAHA
OM MAHA, OM JANAHA, OM TAPAHA
OM SATYAM OM TAT SAVITUR VARENYAM
BARGO DEVASYA DHIMAHI
DHIYO YONAHA PRACHODAYAT
(Om Boo Om Boo-vah-ha Om Swah-ha
Om Mah-ha Om Jah-nah-ha Om Tah-pah-ha
Om-saht-yahm Om Taht Sah-vee-toor Vahr-ehn-yum
Bharg-go Deh-vahs-yah Dee-mah-hee
Dee-yoh Yohn-ah-ha Prah-choh-dah-yaht)
Here is a list of the spiritual planes represented in the Gayatri mantra:
Om Bhuh (first chakra) - Earth Plane
Om Bhuvaha (second chakra) - Atmospheric Plane
Om Swaha (third chakra) - Solar Region
Om Maha (fourth chakra) - First spiritual region beyond the Sun - heart
vibration
Om Janaha (fifth chakra) - Second spiritual region beyond the Sun: power of
the divine spiritual Word
Om Tapaha (sixth chakra) - Third spiritual region beyond the Sun: sphere of
the Progenitors; realm of the highest spiritual understanding while still
identified with existence as an individual being.
Om Satyam (seveth chakra) - Abode of supreme Truth: absorption into the Supreme
Om Tat Savitur Varenyam - That realm of Truth which is beyond human
comprehension
Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi Dhiyo Yonaha Prachodayat - In that place where all
the celestials of all the spheres have received enlightenment, kindly
enlighten our intellect
Note: When we reach the phrase that begin Bhargo Devasya, we are perfoming
a spiritual invocation that includes every being who has ever become
enlightened or has used this particular Mantra. We are invoking the
universe to assist us in our cause of achieving enlightenmet on all the
various planes, in all the realms and all the globes.
(Instead of a literal translation, the following paraphrase is submitted):
Om! O hierarch of the Earth,
Great Spirit of the Earth, Hail!
Thou radiant orb of dazzling Solar Splendor!
Enfill our minds with thy brilliance!
So that we may perceive our unity with Thee
And with all that is.
Let us proceed on our pathway – even to thy very portals!
Illumined and enveloped in thy splendor.
