Students of theosophy are familiar with what SD says about the events that led to the sinking of Atlantis along with its inhabitants.

When the men of Atlantis took beasts for wives and the offsprings were the beasts such as monkeys and the powers be found it necessary to put an end to it and resulted in the cataclysmic sinking of the continent of Atlantis.

Is it possible that when this information was given to the world through theosophical literature one of the objectives may be that a repetition of this development could take place with the advancement of science and consequently at some point the powers be have to intervene and put an end to developments in this direction and we may all face a similar fate of the sinking of the continents.

While the arguments about the benefits of cloning technology in solving some of the ailments, unrestricted research in this direction could lead to the procreation of beasts. It may be that procreation through normal sexual activities (as happened in Atlantis) or through the use of science, the end result may be the same.

This is an issue that should attract the attention of all students of theosophy.
