I join what you have stated, except that there were others who also had contact
with the Masters. While discovery of Krishnamurti by Leadbeater is a remarkable
one, the whole expectation of manner of Maitreya's second coming being a re-run
of Jesus was, in my opinion, totally in error.

Also independent theosophists in Adyar organization who do not fall into the
category of what once HPB refered as "passive sympathizers, such as the
slumbering army of churchgoers", take everything with a grain of salt, since any
info is second hand and does not have the same value as first hand experience.
Introduction to theosophical doctrines, I think encourages the student to
independent thinking which makes all of us better men and women.
